Way to completely simplify it. If you don't want to play it that's fine but it is absolutely better than just playing the original game. It even fixes bugs and animations on top of having music settings, changing the order of zones to match the original intended way, and allowing Sonic to have the super peel out. Being able to play 3&K with the original Sonic 3 credits music is already a good enough reason to put it over the original.

The only thing you named that would be really relevant would be bugfixes. Music and zone order were changed by the devs for a reason, and super peelout goes even further to the point of fan revisionism. If you want your sonic 3 to be some way or another then fine, but don't brag about it being objectively better than the released version, unless you are specifically talking about things that no one would contest, such as bug fixes (assuming they are bugfixes that just address game problems and not ones that actually close down gameplay options). Your subjective choices and feelings do not amount to superiority.

Superior to Strider? Thoughts, opinions? Personally I like the character Strider, not to mention the fact that invented the style that Osman copied. Osman is really interesting as far as I have played it.

Controls are even better than Strider, imho. Challenge tends more to the broken side because you die a lot. I also doesn't hurt to say graphics are top as far as sprite-based arcade games goes.
