Majora´s Mask takes place in another totally different world, is not even Hyrule, the only connection to Ocarina is that some of the npcs look the same but they are not even the same characters at all, and you are supposed to be the same Link from Ocarina but it never affects the game at all outside of the intro, unless you are into meme theories of link being dead that have been discredited as non canon.

Majora's Mask takes place in an alternate world with different versions of many of the same characters, so you might appreciate it more if you started with Ocarina of Time, which in my opinion is a better entry point for 3D Zelda.

Yeah, you should. MM was originally designed as an expansion to OoT, and kinda still is. From other people I know who played MM first, they hated Zelda because they thought this game was too hard. It's my favorite 3D Zelda, but maybe it wouldn't be had I missed out on OoT.

Wasn’t he friends with the four giants? I could’ve sworn he was. It’s a pretty great arc. A boy gets lost in the woods, so he becomes a scarecrow and befriends some giants.
