I found some old trading card games card packs and opened them up. They're shit. Just screenshots from the first three games with dumb card game actions. They could have at least made an attempt.

I never really got into Tomb Raider, despite having played the first game on PC when it came out and the demo on the Tomb Raider movie DVD for Chronicles. I did enjoy reading the comics, though because tits.

It took playing Anniversary on PS2 to really get into the games, then I went back and played through 2, but haven't beaten 3 yet.

Nu Lara is only good for fucking horses or being In Trouble.

Anniversary is a pretty good point for getting into the series despite all the hate it gets.
And Lara in those comics was awesome, especially I liked Andy Park's issues.

They’re a bit too Assassins creed for my liking. Just my opinion though I love the tank controls.

I liked most of venice and all of tibet/great wall, but the outdoor levels of 3 were the best levels of the series. I wish the late 90s never stopped.

I really have to give TR games a replay at some point. I still haven't finished TR2. Ironically, I dropped the game in the Tibetan Foothills.

They're booster packs from the dungeon crawling game.
On their own they're not great, but you're supposed to use them to supplement a starter pack.

Finally finished TR3 after all these years. Man, this game really doesn't pull any punches. It can and will try your patience constantly. It really is no wonder I never finished it when I was younger. Game can be a real fucking dick sometimes but, still, it was really fun. Sadly no All Hallows because I didn't discover all secrets. Some other day maybe. Now I need to get around finishing TR4, another entry that I stopped playing halfway for some reason.

Anyone ever read the comics? Are they any good?

I actually have an entire TR Archives collection. They are pretty fun to read actually. It's not Alan Moore, but they are entertaining and the artstyle is nice to watch. Comic Lara is a pretty nice and likeable character - essentially female Batman without a suit. And I approve of the artist's autistic desire to find any flimsy reason to get Lara naked once per story arc.
So, yeah, if you have time, give them a go. They are 90's cheese, but a very fun 90's cheese.

Be sure to get down to playing The Lost Artifact (TR3's direct sequel expansion pack thing) as seen in >>7296138 , there's only 6 levels in total but they are much longer since it was designed around only releasing on the PC and features much more indepth secret areas. If you care about the story, you'll notice that there's no cutscenes as everything is implied in the loading screens that will probably give you less than a second to look at with even a modern hard drive, though you could probably read them by just looking at the .pix files in the directory

The first pc game I ever owned was Tomb Raider. Lara will always have a spot in my heart. <3

I want to but it's such a pain to install these games and have them run properly. I mean, at least 2 and 4 were a hassle so I assumed 3 was too. I ended up emulating it because it was easier and I'm a lazy fag like that.

I remember downloading the GOG version of 2 and installing Peixoto's patch. With that the game ran flawlessly. Don't know about 1.

Really? Polish Cenega version runs without an issue on my Win10. And it already comes with The Lost Artifact as a part of TR3 Gold.
