So the movie is this insanely bland generic futuristic thing where everything, EVERYTHING, is gray and dimly lit, and the only thing remotely fantastical is some orange energy blob shit.

They had the Final Fantasy property, they had some of the most advanced CG avalible at the time, and they did NOTHING with it. They made NOTHING.
