Whose idea was it to have a final boss that can only be damaged by throwing other baddies onto him, when it's limited to have correct throw each with a specific range for each character?

Someone needs to account for this shit.

Nice job

Honestly if you just want to win, pick Ninja

I think it took me about 10 tries. I rage quit earlier when I died due to a laser getting me as I getting up and couldn't do anything about it and replayed the entire game.

Got better at the game. Throws are keys to survival and crowd control, although crouching seems to be very overpowered in this game.

I wish I could play the remaster but it's not on PC

I see what you mean holy shit. He gets rid of anyone just like that and it's pretty satisfying desu

also it looks like he may have two different kind of throws that work against the final boss, vs one for other 2

Go ask about Namco about it, that's what I did.

One time I requested Inti Creates to release a PC port of a game which didn't have one. Few months later, it happened, years after the game's initial release.

I probably had nothing to do with it but you never know, maybe if enough people ask they'll consider it.

Wrong company, but eh, suppose it wouldn't hurt. Just weird because they put Wild Guns on Steam. Been waiting for the shoe to drop on this one, but nope.

just replayed through the entire game as Ninja, definitely felt easier (but also more fun) with him

Final boss is infinitely easier with him since you don't have to stay in the middle and get surrounded by baddies on both sides and mind the lasers. You can just throw from either side of the screen where it's a lot safer

>>7269603
It's been a while since I last played the snes version but I'm pretty sure that both throws work with the other characters too. They just require different range. If you use the forward throw from the edge of the arena I'm pretty sure it will hit.

and now on Hard.

Cool game. Hard difficulty didn't make such a huge difference with Ninja.

It's based on the SNES game, but adds a lot more to it.
>Two new characters and more moves for the pre-existing ones
>More onscreen enemies to fight (no more three-man limit) and many with new attacks
>Rebalanced gameplay to account for the new additions
>HD soundtrack with options for the SNES or arcade original music
>Two-player mode with a twist: both players share the same life/energy meter, so teamwork is key

Too bad the AI is made too easy as a result. SNES Hard Mode has the AI being relentless and aggressive, not to mention they alternate attacks to get past your blocking.

>> No.7272078

>>7272031
Wild Guns Reloaded has kinda the same issue. The widescreen leads to more enemies at once and from a larger area and stages last longer, but as a result the pacing is slower and enemies are less aggressive. A couple of bosses are even outright missing a pattern.
But overall it's still a better version.

Those two fucks always get multiple lives out of me. Playing as Ninja, it feels like no matter what I do, he'll always be too slow and get fucked by the 2nd guy when you manage to dodge/block the first guy's attacks.

Last time I managed to get them stuck in a grab loop on the end of the screen, grabbing them and pummelling them one at a time until they're dead, but it only worked because they both had their backs turned to me.

did it improve on how broken crouching is in the game? Especially with Kamaitachi

You could be a cheap ass fuck and crouch through most of the game with little trouble coming your way outside of the gun guys knockning with their guns, or the flame throwing guys crouching also; but the later you can exploit easily, plus Ninja can still has longer reach than them.
