Strange amount of fragile egos. Someone does a fastest 100% clear of a game with optional parts, someone else will come along and do a "fastest clear lowest clear %" run. Not even trying to do the same thing better, but making another category altogether so they can still claim "I hold the world record on x game". Then another category for "how fast can I glitch this game to win". Rather than decide on one set of rules for all speedruns, they have this fucked up system so they don't hurt anyone's feelings by pointing out that glitching your way to the ending screen in SMW isn't on par with playing through all the levels.

personally i prefer games that are speedrun without glitches or for lack of a better word "cheap" transistions for instance the whistles in mario 3. but thats just my 2cents.
