I agree, but where is he gonna buy it? Some of those games are way too hard in Japanese.
Did the English patch ever translate the audio in Marcher?

It is hard to go wrong with a Metroid or Castlevania game on the system. I'll suggest Double Dragon Advance, it is my favorite Double Dragon game.

Nice. I only had three games for my Gameboy Advance: Excitebike, FFTA, and Castelvania (not sure if it was Harmony of Dissonance or Aria of Sorrow). I wanted to get the Metal Slug game for it but I could never find it.

>> No.7215838

FFV is pretty good if you can get your hands on a copy. There's also that Konami racing game if you ever feel the need to see Grey Fox race against the Moai head from Parodius.

>> No.7215841

Both of the Metroid games are nice, Pokemon Gen 3 is pretty good as well. The Super Mario Advance series is good if you want some quality older titles. You can get repro mother 3 carts with the English translation on them. Fire Emblem and Advance Wars are great. The Kirby games are good too. Minish Cap is fucking excellent too, and my favorite Zelda. I STRONGLY recommend Minish Cap.

Legend of Spyro, the Eternal Knight.
This one surprised me anon, it is actually really fun. IMO the best Spyro game outside of the original trilogy.

No he's literally right. The GBA was released in fucking 2001 TWO-THOUSAND-AND-ONE. If you really know literally -nothing- about its library and hell, if you don't already have a GBA SP you are a fucking zoomer retard and don't belong here.

Are there any GBA exclusive jrpgs besides Final Fantasy Tactics Advance?
Everything I find seems to have either been a port from another system or was eventually ported to a better system.
Japanese only is okay; even preferred.

I'm mostly a platformer person, so I would recommend both of the Kirby games (I liked Nightmare in Dream Land slightly better, but Amazing Mirror is still pretty good). The Mario Advance quadrilogy (espically Advance 3 and 4). The Densetsu no Stafy trilogy (you really don't need to know Japanese to enjoy the games, as they're pretty straightforward), as well as Astro Boy: Omega Factor (not really a platformer, but it has a few platforming parts). Outside of platformers, I really enjoyed Bomberman Tournament (normally don't care for Zelda-type games, but this one is pretty fun, plus it's got the fun Bomberman multiplayer mode). If you like Tournament, I would also recommend the Japan-only Jetters GBA game, as that's essentially a sequel in terms of gameplay, although you might need a guide to play through it (not as straightforward as the Stafy games). Also, just got Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak, that one is probably a good one too.

Get an Everdrive and just load it with ROMs of whatever looks interesting. Put the money you were going to spend on games into that and a nice backlit-modded AGB-001

yeah, at leats in aria of sorrow you can start a new game with most of the souls thta you have collected. In Sotn you cannot start a new game with most of the swords, shields and items that you collected.
