So I've been playing through Arx Fatalis (Libertatis) and I fucking LOVE this shit.

Any other retro games that can satisfy my itch for more?

No Anvil of Dawn?
Admittedly, it has a bunch of bugs, and it's poorly balanced in several places, but it's still a single-character fisrt-person dungeon crawler from the '90s.

Not a single one of this games is similar to Arx Fatalis other than the 2 UU's.

For those who played the game, I have a question that I can't seem to get answered through google searches:

How the FUCK are you supposed to learn how to solve Lord Inut's chicken quest? Is there a message or something somewhere that I just haven't found that explains how to do it?

I know how to make the potion for him because of answers online, but nobody explains how they even came up with the idea of doing that...

It's a hidden easter egg that they added in a patch later when the french players were joking about Lord Inut, you probably aren't supposed to find out by playing normally, because the recipe doesn't appear in the game.

I played it recently to and I know that fucking feel man. I especially loved the crypts, fuck that was a good dungeon.

I think the closest thing is probably Thief 1/2.

The closest is definitely Ultima Underworld. The first one specifically.

Since it's close to the holidays and I'm in a good mood: spells stack.

It's pretty amusing that people struggle to identify subgenres so much. Or that when they finally do, they use a retarded gimmick name as a label, which doesn't make it clear which other styles it comprises.
