The coloured carts is where the soul in pokemon is contained.

I've got almost all the pokemon cartridges (though the ones from my actual childhood are in pretty manky shape) but I'm still missing a crystal cart. It hardly ever turns up in pawn shops around here.

The first game on N64 is a fine port.
The second game is fine with the exception of the musical cutbacks. Honesty if you played the games as much as me you probably don't listen to the soundtrack any more.
3rd game is basically the same as the ps1 port, but also suffers the same musical cutbacks.
none of them have the FMVs, which I could care less about.
these are fine ports in my eyes and I like owning these classics in cartridge forms. Of course as a huge fan of the series, I also own the other versions of these games.
