As long as you don’t go in expecting dark souls gameplay then yes. They both have a dark and depressing atmosphere and a story that doesn’t exactly spell itself out. It’s a slow burning game, unlike many souls games.

Yeah, it's pretty wild I agree - but so is the game. And there's quite a bit of mutating and body horror going on in the story. After playing it looking at the cover kind of feels evocative of that element of the story to me.

Not him but it isnt nostalgia either. Theres some abstract instinct that those early ps1 graphics evoke, like early medieval art (boyeux tapestry) or cave paintings. I feel like people who enjoy symbols might get a kick out of this graphical style as I do.
