Do you have in the Japanese characters? Cause that could be a number of things. Even if you assume the "pu" is just functioning as a letter like P-matsu, the matsu could be a couple of things like end as in weekend or end of the month, or the matsu could be to have like P-have.
And that's just making the assumption "pu" is a meaningless sound or letter.
