Which console's games look best on the shelf? These blue spines always grab my attention.

Its a shame not all mega drive games have those blue spines, im pretty fond of the bulckier pal ps1 and dreamcast cases
but theyre fragile as fuck and the majority of my cases have a chip gone out somewhere

are people really already keeping their ps2 games in protective packs like this?

Well they are just 20 years old, still dont see the point tho with the sheer amount of ps2 games out their, that and i have older dvds and cds that are just fine

I was wondering why all my Dreamcast games were showing up with broken cases despite looking fine in photos and I realised they were breaking in transit.

I know it might seem boring, but I do like how understated and uniform PAL PS1 boxes look when lined up.

True, those nibs holding the cds break my heart

What I like more about PS1 games is the combination of black background underneath the shiny black plastic case, just looks so solid. Plus the thickness of the cases themselves adds a nice heft.

PAL Dreamcast games are a close second for similar reasons.

I can't stand the PAL PS2 spines. They look so generic and I mistake them for the generic inserts Gamestop puts into DVD cases for games that were traded in without a case.

Damn, PAL Ps2 had no soul.

This thread has actually reminded me of the unexpected, disheartening experience of visiting Japan a decade ago and realising I had no fucking clue how to find games I wanted in retro game stores, because they were all stacked in a row and I couldn't read the moon runes on the spines.

this board is well and truly dead.
