Why this amazing fpses masterpieces by bungie so forgotten?

They was so fucking innovative (tons of standart features in fps was implement in marathon games), complex and deep lore as fuck, that compare to them classic doom like a kiddie arcade fps for dumbasses. And writing and lore so fucking goddamn complex and interesting, one of the best in any fpses.

Of course they outdated ibn terms of graphics, because levels looks like empty, but it rewarding your patience in the end.

And why bungie don't even bother remake them on destiny 2 engine since marathon and destiny using same artstyle on concept arts.

fpbp. Love the Marathon games, grew up with them and just replayed them all again this year, but they're obscure because pcfags didn't have access to them.

I still have all three if anyone needs it for ao

They're niche for a reason.

>claustrophobic level design
You get filtered on level 1 of M1 I bet.
>and shit gunplay
Literally the best gunplay of any 2.5D shooter. No hitscan, no autoaim, mouse aim, and 3-dimensional momentum physics for explosions.

I gotta be honest once they get going the guns are great. Especially in the sequels once you get the Shotguns.

How? It's far more loyal to the original games than most Doom sourceports are.

Doombabbies are the saddest. The true origin of the FPS was in first-person dungeon crawlers yet the tinniest bit of maze in a post-Doom game makes you cry and shit yourself.

Do you mean the settings I'm using? It's just standard Aleph One (make sure to download the newest version if you haven't, it has a more modern mouse control option), with the ugly "remastered" assets disabled.

Well I give them that: their ingame art is stylistically consistent.

I've tried installing this in OSX with MacOS9 running on the compatibility layer, but it can't do it. A quick Google search says there are issues with sea files, which is probably what this was, on OSX. I give it to anyone to test in real MacOS9.
