Well, technically 4chan is just a copy-paste of the 2chan code, a japanese site.
And right now the owner of 4chan is a japanese man.
I wouldn't say 4chan is 100% anglo-based, also you have to remember USA and UK aren't a majority of anglo people anymore, far from that.
That said, what the fuck are you guys talking about?

LMAO are you a console warrior? Holy shit I hope you're being ironic at least.

They did Castlevania IV, Contra III, and Axelay on the SNES before Treasure was even born. If anything, they betrayed Konami and Nintendo.

>> No.7029359

>>7029260
Pretty sure the first two only had 1 or 2 codemonkeys that would leave to Treasure, and Axelay didn't have any Treasure people. Closest thing to a mostly Treasure-developed Konami game would be Bucky O'Hare on NES.

I recommend Hi no tori (aka Firebird) for MSX2.
There is a Famicom side-scroller of the same name, but the MSX2 game is totally different, not a side-scroller, instead it's a vertical scroll shooter with platforming built in, so the sense of shooting and jumping at the same time made me think of it as a 2D sin and punishment.
Bosses aren't as good though, and the level design might be a hit or miss depending on your taste, it's not linear, instead it's infinite loop levels and the only way to beat a stage is to find a key and enter the right door, so you will be looping multiple times in some levels looking for the key/looking for the door, and you will also need to go back to previous levels to actually beat the game. It's a bit convoluted, but when you learn the game it's fun as fuck to blast through it and beat it in 30 minutes or so.

This game looked so good in magazine screenshots of the day, I had to get it. It was one of my first 6 games (includes all 3 Treasure games) I owned even when I did not have a N64. Surprising it doesn't use the RAM expansion to achieve such amazing visuals.

I think the other anon is right though. I remember playing with both GC and Wiimote+nunchuck, and the wii scheme just allowed you do take down more enemies period. I could still get through the stages with GC, but the aiming was a lot slower, and unlike the first game, which has enemy patterns that are designed for manual stick aiming and is in perfect sync if you can get the rhythm going, S&P2 was more fast paced and obviously made with the Wii aiming in mind, it's a lot more like a light gun game than the first game (effectively taking a step back from the platforming and the overall more creative set pieces of the first game, so I agree first is still the best. 2 is still a great game on its own though)
