A lot of the good games were never released in America so it's funny to see the sharters forced to call it the Mega Drive

I call it the Megasis myself.

I always called it the SEGA, the logo's usually first thing you see when you boot up the system

The Megadrive was released first in Japan in 1988, and then the renamed NTSC version in 1989.
MegaDrive will always superseed Genesis but it is no crime to call it Genesis unless you are a turboautist virgin.

I mean who calls the NES and SNES Famicom and Super Famicom? Those are the original names but still everyone will understand if you said you played some JP videogame on the SNES.
