Edit the ini file for disabling retarded bloom and it looks very close to original. You can also play around with shaders.

It's worth it for the Hard mode for some refreshing experience. It's significantly, but not tailored for minmaxing autists like ROM hacks often are, like FF difficulty mods and shit.
