Fucking this

It pains me every time too because I own Legends 1 and 2. Even own 64 and the Dash PSP ports

But for some reason as a kid I only rented Tron Bonne, almost came close to buying but I never did

Fuck the prices on this game

I would pay 40-60 at most

Also the people who drove it up were probably Legends fans who got mega (heh) butthurt about Legends 3 being cancelled. So they went full Earthbound tier and decided raising the price on the games they love is the logical thing to do

(PC version btw)

I bought this back in 96 or 97 and had it for YEARS, until.... something happened to it. I didn't sell it, but i've torn the house apart looking for it. It's fucking gone.

I'll never own it again, not in the original box and everything. Game is just too rare. Literally years go by on ebay without it showing up.

(and no, I don't want the Euro version... I don't think it was uncut)

The PC versions of RE1 and 2 are very rare, especially the european releases.

I used to have RE2 CIB on PC but my mom trashed it when I still lived there (it could have been sold for at least 50 bucks at the time already). I know I'll never get it again.

A few years back I bought RE3 for PC CIB and unopened for quite cheap though.

as a side note if you're a fan of RE1 and 2 for PC check those mods:

The american version is faaaaaar more rare. A good trick to use is going to ebay and searching "Resident Evil PC", then go to the "sold" tab.

Pretty good amount of European boxes have been sold over the last 6 months. Not a single American version.

Also the Euro version didn't come with that absolutely bitchin' sticker proudly proclaiming it's the real uncut version (and it was! Full color opening, Chris smokes, Kenneths head is ripped off)

I really want to own English copies of all of Quintet's games for SNES at some point mostly because of how much they influenced me as a child even though I never owned any of them (played them at various friends' house). Seriously, it's probably my only retro game collecting goal. I'm far from financially stable enough to so now though and they seem to only rise in price linearly with time (especially Terranigma). It's nice to have dreams I guess.

Clean sweep is a Pac-Man clone for Vectrex. Set in a bank that burglars have broken in and cut the lights of, the player must use their vacuum cleaner to suck up cash and deposit it in the vault (an area in the center of the screen similar to where the ghosts spawn in Pac-Man)
Successful deposits increase your points score but you can only carry so much cash at a time in the vacuum. You will lose a life and any cash you've collected if one of the burglars catches you.

The liquor company Mr. Boston gave out a limited number of customized cartridges of Clean Sweep. The box had a Mr. Boston sticker on it. The overlay was basically the regular Clean Sweep overlay with the Mr. Boston name, logo, and copyright info running up either side. The game itself had custom text, and the player controlled a top hat rather than a vacuum.

There are said to be anywhere from three to five copies in existence today so the game is very rare and highly collectible. Prices are anywhere between $5000-$10,000.

It's one of the most retarded strategies ever conceived to attract a new audience to gaming. In the early 2000s, Nintendo had a shitload of dead-stock GBCs and decided to parter up with Singer (sewing machine manufacturer) and Natsume to develop a system where you could use the gameboy color to operate their sewing machines. Obviously, this shit didn't work well, they sold really poorly, and now the cart included with the sewing machine add-on is mega rare and expensive.

Took me ages to find that copy...

I have a sealed copy of The Misadventures of Tron Bonne. Was a gift won in an eBay auction with a couple Legends gashapon figures, but the picture that was shown wasn't sealed. When I received it and saw that sacred plastic wrap, I was very conflicted. Do I open this and drop its value instantaneously or what? Lol, the silly world of collecting...man, oh, man.

Funny thing though, I actually remember seeing it in a bargain bin at a local video store, "Video News", back in the day. I don't know why I didn't get it...but I do remember getting Mega Man 7 and X3 for bargain prices there before.
