Just as an fyi; most PC-Engine CD games have the music volume set way too low. On an emulator, though, you can crank the CD volume way up to get a good mix.

PC Engine/TurboGrafx CD drives have no copy protection, only the HuCards do. Imagine buying an original copy of a game you coulda copped a replica of literally anywhere on the web and just play on legit hardware.

All the levels bar 1 are basically just the same sets of tiles floating in the air.
Enemies can chainstun you and the final boss is made into a challenge by changing the arena in one big deathtrap. Combine this with the Belmont flinch and you got yourself a sudden death in a stamina battle.

I played and loved them both growing up, but VP is a bad game when looking at it from an objective perspective whereas Rondo, not without its faults, is plagued by its status as being overrated.
