The sense of complete isolation in TR1 and TLR are incredible (especially TR1). Not running into NPCs or human enemies every ten seconds, or having a "support team" chiming in on your headset constantly was really nice. The long, involved exploration and puzzle segments were really something, and I'm sad that we don't have any modern games that truly recreate that feeling.

Her breasts should be bigger, and she should be carrying less clutter on her. Carrying a long gun or a bazooka on her back is a nice touch, as is a bandoleer of ammunition, but Tomb Raider was never about hyper realism or portraying weapons realistically, you can make the design cleaner and not fret too much about where she carries her stuff.

I'm playing through TR3 for the first time and gotta say it's not as bad as people say, I'm actually enjoying it unlike the TR1&2 which I had to force myself to finish.

I think it's thanks to the visual improvements and overall variety in levels. They did an excellent job at hiding the "blockiness" of the world which makes traversing it more natural and fluid. I still have Antarctica left but so far it's been great. That said I don't hesitate looking up a walkthrough when I get stuck and some of the "puzzles" are pure bullshit, I can see getting frustrated playing this on PS1 blind.

It's not bad just absurdly hard on PSX, I remember feeling so fucking guilty for using the inventory cheat to get more crystals and didn't get why I was so bad at the game but later found out that this mechanic was super infamous with 3 online and felt less bad. with unlimited saves it's great. Has some of the most genuine feelings of discovery and adventure out of the series and has a great variety of locations.
