I never played Melty Blood way back when because I couldn't get a handle on the keyboard controls (I didn't have any sort of gamepad back then). Thinking back I probably gave up too early, a problem I've always had playing games and in life in general.

I never finished it but I really love the feeling it gives of, this late 90's early 00's doujin spirit that feels dead and too cleaned up now. They edgy but passionate writing, the wonky but still beautiful art. You don't really get that anymore. It made you feel like some other nerds out there were doing something you want and could do yourself.

I ran it via VNDS on a flashcart, so no one could walk in on the (badly written) sex. Did the Arc route until they fight Roa and made a bad decision, saving after and being stuck in infinite loop. Was my own dumb fault, also didn't realise thats why VNs have skip functions. Instead I just learnt a lot via wikis and played Melty, even throwing money at the Steam version so my years of meltan for free felt justified. Yes, I know the 'community version' is better now.

Yup yup I know, I'm basically asking for disappointment.
Even if it came out it will probably be filled with lazy saberfaces and probably equally lazy writing.

After so long, even if it's to read it for five minutes then call it trash, I just want it to come out so I can put it behind me and never have to think about it again.
Of course I want it to be good, but I'm not so naive to think it's been in writing hell for the last decade because nasu is the grand master of keikaku doori.

I loved it but haven't played it in 14 years or whatever, I can barely remember it and the fact that it never got an anime doesn't help. It was my first VN, would have loved to own it physically but it's fucking impossible to find nowadays and it's expensive as all hell.
