Unironically the ugliest console that gen. Can't decide whether it wants to be a Chinese knockoff PS1 or an ugly late 90s PC in a box with that nauseating white plastic. The stupid "powered by Windows CE" logo hammers that last point home even further. Plus everything else about the design and console looks and feels incredibly cheap.

Honourable mention goes to the Super Famicom/PAL region SNES. That US shit was horrid in comparison.

twins are sweet! I have both a red and a black one. Cleaned and replaced the drive belts in both. Both ran like a charm fro 6 months. Stored them for a year. Took em back out to check some disk games. None of them work anymore. Both have a "power error" warning. Carts work fine. fucking annoying. I repaired and sold a lot of these back when they were $35-40 on ebay. Never had the "power error" before now.

I think back in the day there were rumors of compression issues but I think now if you found an up to date program on github or something you'd get better results. I'm going to do this later but I need a dreamcast first.
