Thats a pretty good deal I think.
I got my 36 new NES games from a collector who seemed desperate. He said he was getting rid of it and that he wasn't really a collector, but he had a shit ton of stuff, the SNESes, a GBP that was a rare edition, and all. He had a wife and kid, and was pretty young, so I think it was just to pay bills. Made me kid of sad, so I didn't talk him down from $140. I appraise the stuff to be worth about $200 anyways. It is always sad to see people desperate for cash selling their collections.

Yeah, I always feel kinda sad whenever I see anyone sell their retro vidya stuff. Obviously I'm happy to take it off their hands if it's something I want for a reasonable price but still, it's like pawning off your childhood memories.

I feel his pain.
Had to sell a rather large SNES, Genesis, N64, and PS1 collections a few years back to survive.
I only have a small handful left. Pretty much kept a handful of the more precious games. Except SNES, which I regret to this very day. All of it is gone.

>> No.691336

Jesus, OP, do you really need to make a thread and then spread your collection into a dozen different pictures, some with as little as 5 games in them, with a trip to cap it off? Come on, i'm usually fine with names/trips, but this reeks of attention-mongering. Make a more conscise display at least, goddamnit.

>> No.691361

Just put everything into a single picture. Maybe two. Downscale however much you can and make a big collage.

>> No.691370

>>691368
I used to do that, but I have too much stuff, and my collage started to get a lot of artifacting when compressed for 4chan.

I like seeing label art, so I can't stack them.

4Chan's resolution and image size limits fuck these things over. I am having trouble even getting all the SNES games in one picture at this point.

>> No.691375

>>691370
You do have a lot of games, so a single picture is pretty hard, but any more than 3 images and it gets a bit too much. Just stuff as many games as you can on a single picture while still being able to identify the games, and you'll probably land on three pictures.

>> No.691376

I bought most of the boxed games cos i found them for cheap. I havent played half of them yet. Batman has been great. Its a refreshing take on ninja gaiden. guardian legend is real hard for me but worth it so far. blaster master is great but no password system really limits me to when i play it.

240 games? That is about 1/3 of the entire library... I only have 1/10 so far. I am going for total NES completion, you too?

Can't take any pictures or post them right now, but I have a good collection to start with.
Mortal Kombat 1&2 for Genesis, Sonic The Hedgehog 1, Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (all with cases), NBA Jam (game only.)
Diddy Kong Racing, Paper Mario, Super Smash Bros, Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Snap, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Mario Party 1-3. Castlevania: SOTN, All the crash games (1-3, bash, and ctr). I have some classic gamecube and ps2 games, but that isnt the right board.

if i find it for cheap i buy just about anything i don't own as even a shitty game is worth at least 15 minutes of entertainment. i don't spend crazy money unless i absolutely want a certain game and prefer to hit up thrift stores in the hopes of stumbling on a gem for $1 or so.

have an example of one of my other systems, a few games are missing here too like ready 2 rumble boxing.

That is exactly how I am, but my end goal is completing nintendo. I think that ANY game can be fun, and I play every game I get for well more than 15 minutes. I have a lot of spare time...

Coming soon to a popular auction site near you.
The screens are going bad, most visible here with Popeye (left side middle.) So I figure I need to get rid of them while they're still worth something.

So my N64 collection is growing by the day, and today I decided to top label all the games. Anyone else label their n64/super famicom/ anything else with no top label?

>> No.705792

will those labels come off easily or are they going to look like absolute shit in a few years

>> No.705805

They peel off really easy. Like a strong post it note.
I am actually afraid they will just fall off if unattended.

Looks really good. As long as the labels are those nicer laminated ones then you're golden. I need to figure out how to do this for Gameboy carts.

>> No.705850

>>705835
They aren't laminated, but I can deal with not rubbing them and handling them too hard. I want them to stay nice.

Also, have you thought about a label maker for GB carts?
