Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi games are dogshit, the only appealing aspect was the original soundtrack. Super DBZ is the better ps2 era dbz fighter.

I am over 99% done completing everything to do in DBZ BT3. Just gotta win EVERY tournament on EVERY difficulty. Which wouldn't be so bad if I could just choose it, but no, you gotta go in and out of the menus to roll something you haven't gotten yet, and then you gotta keep track of all the ones you HAVE done. Fuck that shit, gotta do it some day though.
I think I've done almost everything in BT3 too, everything besides buy the final Breakthroughs in the store. I dumped hundreds of hours into Budokai one, two and three from my childhood, such a great series, never watched all of Dragon Ball but I feel like I could consider myself a fanboy due to being raised with the series, still.

the guy could have stolen from queen's flash gordon soundtrack and it still would have been good. not that i don't like queen, they're my favorite band, but the flash gordon album is their worst - mostly because 3/4 of the band gave up halfway through and brian may had to do all the work.

Budokai 1 is my favourite. Never really played the others aside from tenkaichi and that was when it was new.

Last good Dragon Ball game created. It was also the best one. The combats were amazing and the AI could fight very well and defeat you. Dynamics cutscenes incombat were amazing and the ost and soul effects were perfect. Only flaw was the dragon rush but it was still fun sometimes.
A good time when oc autism wasn't ruining everything.

Yes. As far as I know dbz B 1 ended with the cell saga because America didn't get to boo yet. Plus they re-released the PS1 games because there was so much internet chatter over them. I bought ultimate battle 22 from GameStop just because it was dbz. I wish i didn't.

Tenkaichi 3 is decent if you agree with you friends to not use ki attacks and you're both skilled. I used to play tournament mode with 4 friends using those rules and the matches would last forever. Not in running away, but in punching/defending/evading. We would also do random selection matches and it was hilarious when someone got Satan to go against SSJ4 Gogeta.
And I know it will sound like I'm bullshiting, but in my 12th year of school this guy took his PS2 to school with Tenkaichi 3 and 2 controllers that he hooked up to the big cafeteria CRT and we both used SSJ4 Gogeta. We were always doing something instead of running away, so the match was so good to watch that the normies that usually leave the cafeteria when they finish eating just sat there watching and cheering, probably because even they know what Dragon Ball is. I ended up switching to Kid Buu and beat the shit out of him.

that was only with a VERY few of em, the first Budokais werent really even decent, and dont even get me started on the sparking/tenkaichi games, the first 2 at least, then its the gba games with up until Advanced Adventure and Super Sonic Warriors thye also werent decent, but then again SuperDBZ had the luck of being done by both Arika (under a ghost shell company) and had many ex-capcom dudes working including Noritaka Funimazu and Akira Nishitani themselves. thats why that game is not just tolerable, not just functional, not just fanservical, not just okay for an animu game, not even just a great animu game,......... ITS ACTUALLY A GOOD GAME!.

plus it was an arcade game first as a real arcade game back before they turned intonfucking pachinkos, card reader gasha shit and mobile games on cabs.
