As a kid with a shitty hand me down TV and a half dozen systems hooked up with a daisy chain of RF adapters, this brings back memories.

Why were the supplied RF modulators so shit? I got a $10 chinese RF modulator from ebay recently and the picture is as good as directly via composite with that.

RGB is native on the model 1, donkey lips. The only thing I added was the av port from a model 2 so I could fit both stereo channels.

I never had that connector for SNES but there's no reason why an old tv should have a bad picture. If that signal box was bad or if the tv was bad, then how did you watch tv with it? If it wasn't used for tv, then why didn't you just stick the cable directly into the back of the tv? Your story still doesn't add up.

I played a lot of Mega Drive at my cousin's house with this box adapter and the image didn't look like OP's pic. I only saw images that bad when people didn't adjust the nobs to tune the channel. If you have nostalgia for that shit, you are dumb or your TV was fucked.
