Except they didn't most of the big third parties ditched the system once Super Famicom launched. It was pretty much Hudson&NEC doing all the work, even the SF2 port was done internally by NEC you were left with PC oriented third parties such as MicroCabin,Kogado Studio and Artdink. High production titles such as Rondo of Blood are the outliers not the norm.

I own the system you tard. Yeah PC ENGINE CD games including Super System 2 titles are pretty B- to C grade quality- Even the JRPGs whoopedee fucking doo, you have some shitty voiced cutscene(oh my GOD THIS FAMOUS JAPANESE VOICE ACTOR BEST GAME EVARRR, WHOOO CARES outside some otaku retard) and CD bgm during some boss fight. I play pretty much every 240p console on my hacked wii with a gcn controller. Works fantastic on my CRT and my monitor through my OSSC.
The only systems it can struggle with are some arcade games so I play those on my cfw PS3, I have one of those Neo-Geo CD style microswitch controllers for it too for shmups and stuff. PS1 also gets played through my PS3 until we get a cheap and easy ODE solution.

My ps3 slim is loud as fuck when the fan ramps up which is very annoying. What controller are you talking about? I don't often play ps1 games because the laser is unreliable and I am always afraid that at any time the laser will quit working and my long ass rpg saves will be useless

I feel like that with all Cd based consoles though kek. My question is why you would use a gem cube controller when you could use a wii pro controller? The main one I use is the golden one that was a pack in with goldeneye for the wii.

You can play Sega (Mega) CD on Genesis Plus GX and TGCD/PCECD on Wiimednafen, dude!

For Mega CD, get a bios of your choice for a region of your choice (or multiple ones, if you want to play various Japanese, American, and PAL games). Be sure to hit your preferred bios before starting the game you want to play with it. Make sure to have your Sega CD games in bin/cue format (drop both in the CD games folder), and you are good.

For TGCD, it's much trickier and very time-consuming, but you will be very happy once you get it set up the games in the proper way. I had trouble with this myself and extreme frustration until it all started clicking. First, download "syscard3.pce" ("PCE ROM-ROM version 3" or whatever it's called) and name it that exactly. Put the syscard3.pce file in the root of your wiimednafen folder. Then download a program called BinChunker. Download a program called "GoldWave", too. Now, follow each of these instructions PRECISELY, or the game will not work and you WILL be frustrated:

1. Download your TGCD game. Make a folder for the game and put the files you downlowded for it here.
2. Click on BinChunker, go to select all tracks, and click "convert". These will all be .wav files (except for the game data iso(s).
3. Go to GoldWave, go to "batch processing", change the output file to ".ogg", select the whole folder of your TGCD game and start. Let it finish and you will have .ogg versions of all the sound tracks. Delete or move elsewhere the .wav originals and .bin file.
4. Rename each track (including the iso data tracks) into sequential "Track01.(file type)", "Track02.(file type)", and so on as they are ALREADY ordered.
5. Take the .cue file into Notepad and relabel each track in this exact way
For .ogg tracks:
FILE TrackXX.ogg OGG
TRACK 01 AUDIO
PREGAP [numbers here, DO NOT ALTER]
INDEX 01 [numbers here, DO NOT ALTER]

For .iso tracks:
FILE TrackXX.iso BINARY
TRACK 02 MODE1/2048
[etc]

cont. 1/2

>>6842734
>>6840332
>>6840360
>>6840783
>>6840968
cont 2/2

(To clarify, the text I put in brackets, don't add that to the notepad file)
(Sometimes "PREGAP" doesn't appear. If it doesn't, don't add it. In general, don't mess with the "PREGAP" or "INDEX 01" sections as they already appear)

6. TRIPLE CHECK to make sure all the files in the notepad and in the folder in general are re-labeled correctly. Save.
7. Drop the finished folder into your WiiMednafen > TurboGrafx/PC Engine folder.
8. Click on the cue file to play the game! If you did anything wrong and it displays "[Error loading file.]" instead of starting the game, you mislabeled something and need to go back and fix your error(s).

The nice thing about PC Engine CD files edited this way is that you're saving a ton of space and can put thirty or more games on your card! This is especially relevant if you already have a lot of N64, PS1, arcade, Sega CD etc huge roms on there.

I hope this helps, anon. I had a ton of trouble figuring all this out myself back in 2013, and I forgot and can't find the tutorials I used to learn how to do this, so this is all on my memory from doing a billion times. If you need any help or suspect I got anything wrong, let me know and I'll try to help you out from there.

By the way, every copy of The Dynastic Hero files I have downloaded had a corrupt and/or out of order .cue sheet and missing tracks, so I'll just give you my fixed and pre-edited version of my own. Soon, I plan on uploading in a different thread all my Wii retro game SD files that I've been working on for a decade or more at this point, so that you can have a premade and curated (hopefully to your taste, but you can edit it how you like) Homebrew Channel card.

Also, MAKE SURE you have downloaded all the latest updates of all the emulators, anon! Wiibrew.org.

Now, if anyone would like to help me in clear and stupid-person detail with how to play arcade and MVS/AES games on here, I would be much obliged!!

This used to be difficult for me (perhaps I'm a retard), and other people have helped me out with similar things before, so I didn't mind helping out anon with this at all. I don't consider it spoonfeeding, anyway, unless it's something extremely easy and fast to look up and the only thing preventing you from having/knowing it is laziness, but things that are complicated and hard to find such as this (for me at least) are a different story, at least to me.
