Playing Guitar Hero actually gave me the finger strength and agility to pick up a real guitar and not be instantly filtered by shit like barre chords.
Loved playing it back then, but it's so unsatisfying to go back to instrument centered rhythm games after 10+ years of playing the real thing. DDR is still fun though.

Naw. I'm an apartment-fag and honestly; I think the game was what was fun. Video confirmation of a series of rhythmic, complex inputs being done correctly is what draws me in, and keeps me playing DDR (along with the exercise factor).

I don't think I'm that creative of a drummer, and don't plan on starting or being part of a band. I hated going to bars before the stupid chinkflu.
