/vp/ is infested with furfags and non stop bitching about the way GF/TPC have taken the franchise.

The first 3 generations really do belong on here now. I'm currently doing a replay of both Gold version and Emerald.

Thinking about resetting Emerald and starting with Treecko over Mudkip, being as it's made the game a little too easy. All 3 of the RSE Starters are favorites and I have a difficult time picking whenever I start a new playthrough. I lost my ruby version in a fire, so I can only roll with sapphire and emerald. I'm still trying to spot a replacement cart for it, but funds have dried up after I ordered a new solder iron and pack of replacement batteries for all my game boy carts.

My yellow version is still running on it's original battery, dated 08-99. 21 year old CR1616 outlasted both of my batteries in emerald and sapphire.

I honestly don't use H&M slaves, I just don't go anywhere that needs me to cut something, they're all optional areas because they idiotproofed the game so you can either swim around something or the area behind cut was optional also you can cut tall grass, didn't learn that until I accidentally did it.

Emerald was the best in the generation for story and postgame content. The Emerald battle frontier has not been surpassed since, and the Steven battle is the cherry on top when it comes to postgame content. Also, the inclusion of both Magma and Aqua bases is fucking great and it is better than Ruby/Sapphire in every way. I can't believe they went with the inferior R/S for the remake instead of the obviously superior Emerald.
