I looked upon this HUD and realised I like it way more than Quake's default one.

I've looked it up and it appears that Quakespasm has its HUD hardcoded, while QS Spiked has limited support of something called "CSQC" specifically for HUD mods.

However I can't find any CSQC HUD mods, can anyone link some to me? Preferable the ones like in pic above, with elements shoved to the corners of the screen instead of centre.

Post Void isn't the best example (I haven't played it so I'm talking out of my ass) but it seems to have BoI style upgrades that fundamentally change your character. Alright everyone, here's the what can be considered the final version of 2048 Units of /vr/! Unless anything significant or gamebreaking is discovered soon, i'd say it's safe to say we can finally say this thing is finally complete.
A few changes were made since BETA2:
-All known softlocks and HOMs have been taken care of
-Every map in the main megawad has difficulty options now
-New startup demos have been recorded
-The correct version of Sewers (MAP10) has been added
-A new credits graphic has been added
-Pistol sound and shotgun graphics have been restored to their Doom II defaults (2048 Guns uses the shotgun sprite now)
-Maps 15, 31, and 32 now work in Eternity Engine
-Unkillable imp has been removed from MAP01

The double damage SSG upgrade is pretty wasteful. Okay mod that actually did a good job of bringing people into the community BUT has a lot of newbies putting it into their autoload and running it alongside everything. Lot's of complaints to other WAD authors regarding bugs while using their stuff AND brutal doom.
Author is also kind of a dickhead who stole a lot of assets from a lot of things without at least crediting them and didn't pay artists he commissioned.
It's a fun mod but in its own right but it does mess with the balance a lot.

Personally I'm not a fan of the HDs. Ruins the look of certain mobs (gnaars in remakes are awful),and the gimmick gravity changing isnt in that engine which ruins my favorite room in TSE. Also personally Serious 1 is my favorite looking game engine, even if the newer ones look visually impressive as well.
But yeah theyre fine if they visually appeal to you more.

Croteam really likes partneting with indies.
The Next Encounter is an unironic hidden gem for the gamecube/ps2 though, I highly reccomend it.
