This is pretty much it except for like old episodes of Extended Play/X-Play and Electric Playground from the late 90s.

Not from the 90's. George Wood's Flights of Fantasy was a contemporary show covering fourth and fifth gen games when they were coming out.

All the Flights of Fantasy stuff is comfy as fuck.

I miss Classic Game Room reviews. They weren't really all that great, but they were still fun to watch. I liked CGR Undertow the most.

CGR started in 1999, anon.

Gaming in the Clinton years blows, not kino. Is there any evidence of it actually being from the 90s btw

>> No.6759817

It was originally Flights of Fantasy, a public access show in the Maryland area. It's very obviously from the 90's: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbZV6KZnIRY

Gaming in the Clinton Years is a rebranded version uploaded to YouTube that was just certain clips highlighted from that show. FoF talked about more than just games, including movies and technology

>that sense of urgency in describing how to beat Darth Vader
I miss how tough games used to be, without save states I doubt many new gamers would be able to last and stomach trying to beat a game for the hundredth time.

just think, while you were fondling a gamepad in the Clinton years, Clinton was fondling some kids

You're probably the only person I've seen say this, I see nothing but hate for Undertow when CGR is mentioned

My problem with Undertow was that one guy who didn't know what he was talking about and didn't even use humor to cover up his rambling.

>> No.6761730

>>6760835
I liked Undertow as well. He had a charm of a simple dude looking at some unusual stuff and describing it. Good counterbalance to Mark's macho boomer persona.

Isn't it called 80sComics.com now? What is he doing? Last I had heard he was taking his content to Amazon Prime because the userbase was "higher brow" and the money was better... Guess that didn't work out.
