SMW and Castlevania IV proto stuff is the most interesting for me and the reason I keep checking these threads. The other stuff is interesting too, but those 2 are the ones I care for the most. I actually think Castlevania fans for the best deal out of the whole leak, simply because of the brand new music track for forest of monsters. the star only has two base textures - the eyes and the rest of it.
coins have four for each animation frame - one for facing front, one for being turned to the left, one for the side, and one for being turned to the right.
the beta 2d star has EIGHT for each animation frame.
front, tilted left facing front, left side, tilted left facing back, back, tilted right facing back, right side, tilted right facing front.

They could, and did, add a frontlight later on, and later backlight. This doesn't screw with backwards compatibility. The Sega Game Gear from 1990 had a backlight but it used some kind of fluorescent light bulb that took a lot of battery, and Nintendo were always keen on making sure that batteries lasted long in the era before rechargeable ones. on the top right in recent changes set the changes from 50 to 250 or 500 and change the day period to the last time you did a thorough search. since this new stuff is pouring in from the gigaleak the site will keep track of the last few pages you checked by making the name purple. click the (# changes) or "diff" link directly right of the titles to show you what exactly changed since the previous update. the numbers in green shows how much content was added and turns bold if theres a lot.

As the guy who added your hack to the OP over two weeks ago, all I wanted was to be able to play around with the changes you've been making while adding pre-release stuff back into SM64. The Big Whomp himself never appeared in Shoshinkai. I don't know about the Bullet Bills. I actually wanted to restore Japanese star names, and beta Whomps were internally called "Wallmen."

Yes, the slide theme was just Bob-Omb Battlefield in the Shoshinkai beta.

The "Welcome to Mario Wonderland" and "This castle is exclusive to the demo" are all in the Shoshinkai beta as well.
