what is there to like? i dont "hate" X5 but for me, its one of the weakest entries, X6 has some glaring design flaws but at least it felt fresh and it had a little more work put on it.
on X5 (save for Dynamo) the bosses dont even have voice lines.

AVGN meme aside, having replayed the entire franchise recently, I don't think X5 is much worse than any other game in the franchise
Literally every game in the franchise except for X1 has some annoying flaw that makes it worse than the last, so you get used to it
Alia is annoying for some levels but you pretty much forget about her

You should really check some of these style of reviews out sometime though, surely you can't play games 24/7, maybe you can but I can't. When I am not I like to media like that. There are lots of creators doing these style of reviews now, both retro and modern titles. Joseph Anderson just released a 5 hour analysis of The Witcher 2. Narrative, gameplay, characters, etc. That's a little long even for me but I will probably watch some here and there till I finish it as I'm a fan of the series.

The constant stopping of gameplay for pointless drawn out tutorial dialogue nonsense that even children could figure out on their own without any issue was excruciatingly annoying and is the main reason why I dropped this game. funny, X5 and X6 are in my opinion the only good X series games(well I haven't played Command Mission so I can't say about that one), if mostly because they aren't pointlessly hard like most Mega Man games

the funny thing about this game is if they did a few things different this would be a conversation about how it's a mediocre X game and not about why it's a bad game in general. A game like this doesn't need story telling or back tracking, they never did before. I think the idea was to make it more immersive and make it more challenging, simply slowing down game play and adding tedious parts doesn't do that. X6 was worse for that, adding a build system that was hard to understand and making back tracking necessary if you want to complete it. as close to 100% as possible.

Honestly having multiple armors is a cool concept, they did it bad though. Kind of like ride armor in X3. Not thought out.
