There are several ways for Barry to die.
The most common way is, after the 2nd battle against the giant Snake, when you're down in the hole with a grave, not waiting for Barry to come back when he says he'll be back with another rope. To be honest until I read a walkthrough I had no idea that when a character said "wait for me" in a video game he would actually come back if you DID wait for him.

The other way is not saying "yes" and "yes" to his two questions when you're in the underground tunnel with him before the lab.

Don't feel too bad though, one of Barry's death scenes, the one where he dies near the ladder in the lab and gives you the photo of his family, is the best scene in the entire game.

I actually really enjoyed the novels, gave a much needed personality boost to the characters, even if the action was kinda sloppy. Nicholai was a villain no one really cared about in RE3, and a grade-AAA, Eric Sparrow-tier superthundercunt in the book. Of the 'new' ones, Caliban Cove was also really neat and actually tense as fuck dat zombification but the other one with the... T-Rex zombie or something was pretty mediocre.

My dick approved RE3 Jill, but I still can't find a good reason why Jill dressed like a slut. I thought, "Hey, she might be in middle of shopping or clubbing when the incident occurred,". 24 Sep: The Survivors of J's Bar have all sorts of crazy adventures escaping the bar, a burning building, a zoo, and a subway station.

25 Sep: The Wolf Pack returns to Racoon City to destroy evidence at City Hall. Nicholai fucks with them for the lulz.

26 Sep: Half the survivors of J's bar make their way to Raccoon Hospital. Leech man shenanigans ensue. The Wolf Pack is fucked with by Nicholai again as they attempt to blow up a power plant.


27 Sep: Yoko and some other J's bar survivors stumble on to Birkin's lab, The fiddle with the A/C. The Wolf Pack infiltrates an Umbrella lab to get a prasite to fix the Nemesis, which is piddling around in a warehouse. Alyssa and the other J's survivors head out in to the woods and have a scooby doo adventure in a hospital with ax man.

28 Sep: Some J's bar survivors shack up at the police station and then escape as it is over run. Jill Begins her last escape. Lots of encounters get muddled the Wolf Pack destroys evidence at the police station, Echo 6 shows up in town, and Leon and Claire arrive in town.

29 Sep: Leon B and Claire A do their shenanigans. At some point Sherry gets seperate from Claire in the sewers, some /d/ stuff happens, and Echo 6 rescues them. Leon and Claitre eventually take a train ride out of the lab. The Wolf Pack infiltrates Birkin's lab at about the same time, shit blows up. Elsewhere Echo 6 is in the parasite lab and end up blowing THAT ONE up too.

30 Sep: Hunk makes his commando escape through the police station and catches a helicopter ride out. What was he doing for a week? Stay tuned for Operation Raccoon City 2 to find out! The Wolf Pack confronts Leon and Claire, decide to tell Umbrella to fuck off for betraying them a dozen times over. Echo six finds and escorts Leon and Claire to an escape chopper.

Besides that, tons of shit was actually on fire in Raccoon City. I mean, the first thing you see in the game is Jill rolling out of a passageway that's erupting in flames. The streets are very tightly enclosed, so it probably doesn't circulate well.

Also, human teeth are really fucking strong. If you tried, you could probably tear out someone's flesh through a t-shirt. I'm not sure wearing clothes even would make much of a difference, especially if the zombies have increased supernatural entity bite power. I mean, I think by the mid-late 90s they had pretty lightweight riot gear that was easily accessible to police officers, but I still think her outfit is at least somewhat plausible. Even a light leather coat and pants would have been pretty constricting and/or hot.
