Stop kidding yourself. There isn't a single phenomenal game on the system. There is no game on the Saturn that would make me question getting an N64 or a PS1 first.

The Saturn has good games, but for every one great game it has, the N64 and the PS1 have 10 better ones.

That said, it was a great Console Generation. All three systems were worth having. There is just no world where the Saturn came in anything but third in that three man race.

I would say this is likely true for the PS1, but certainly not the N64 which has like only 300 games where many of those are shitty PS1 ports.

PS1 is tons of bad shovelware and the N64 is just Bad Games: The Console. Sega was the only company at the time to at least try to continue classic gaming ideas instead of going full into the style over substance bullshit that birthed garbage like MGS and Mario 64.
Same with Dreamcast. It lost to PS2 because dumb fucking kids cared more about shit games than good ones.

Okay, so, N64 has 3 better games for every one great Saturn title.

Most Saturn titles were garbage, or shittier versions of PS1 titles. Only a couple really good titles exist for the Saturn, and the N64 has far more memorable titles.

The N64 has about 10 good games and the rest is crap. The Sega Saturn has significantly more variety. I'd rather play Baroque or Powerslave than Banjo Kazooie, it doesn't make sense to me how esteemed platformers are when really interesting and fun first person games are for some reason totally discarded or ignored in these discussions.

Dual analog is really preferable, but you can kind of get away with it if you have at least one stick for aiming, like on Dreamcast or N64.

It's not about "figuring them out", it's about them being an inferior control scheme compared to KB/M. I mean, if you wanna handicap yourself, by all means, play using a pad. You'll just be slower and less coordinated than someone who's playing with a KB/M.
