SO. I'm trying to create a repo of all the models in bbgames as .PLY files. But the python script for converting them from .SOU is giving me issues.
When I run it like this:
"SOUtoPLY22.py mario_near_head.sou"

It ends up giving me this:
"File '<stdin>,' line 1
SOUtoPLY22.py mario_near_head.sou

A 1988 assembler targeting 6502 called as65c by William C Colley III was part of the C User's Group Disk Library - Disk 219. The collection can be found on the Internet Archive. https://telarity.com/~dan/cbm/cross-development.html#Assemblers I am not sure if Nintendo used this openly available version, or if they made modifications for the SNES SDK.

That was ported to win32 and an executable can be found here retrotechnology_com/restore/a65c.html

Compiling the Nintendo developed SNES games, (LTTP, F-Zero) looks like they will also require programs called 'load', 'link', and 'insp'. The linker is likely Ricoh SFX Linker 2.02 mentioned in the files.

That fenced off area contains the hole for the Deku Playground. It's fenced off to make sure only a deku can get in there.
In the final version they just moved the fenced off area to a small cove right next to the fairy fountain.

For me it depends on the flat screen. I have a late 00's HD TV that I can play vidya on just fine, but when I tried vidya on a cheap 4k smart TV it was god awful, even with Game Mode turned on. It surprises me that Big Box electronics stores don't have this kind of info ready or advertise some kind of trial program where you can test vidya out before buying the tv

Help me understand. So the chink company that made the iQue Player got hacked and that's where all this came from? I get they'd have some stuff by why would they have such a massive amount of super secret Nintendo shit on their own servers?

>> No.6659021

>>6658914
Someone might be able to explain in more detail, but it was Nintendo's servers that got hacked, not iQue's.
The bbgames leak is the repository Nintendo put together for the iQue team to localize.

>> No.6659025

>>6658914
Basically, the autist who hacked them used iQue player as a backdoor to Nintendo's servers, since the console would download games through a special cartridge that would connect to Nintendo's servers to download games (Correct me if I'm wrong)
the "bbgames" stuff was basically stuff that was set to be localized for china

Where the FUCK did those TCRF motherfuckers get these other five prototypes?
I could only find the first prototype on this list, and it wasn't from looking through the files, because I don't know which one of these archives has the shit I'm looking for.
I want that missing alternate Vanilla Lake music, god damn it.

If you mean the music from the mkart proto have full OST in original SCP format: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/670141481805414411/737929672553136228/Super_Mario_Kart_Prototype_-_mkart_1992-08-27Nintendo_EADNintendoSNES.zip
Need Foobar to play them. If the other builds have even more unused different music for Vanilla Lake then I'm surprised to hear that.

>> No.6661975

I think that anon is actually referring to another earlier version of Vanilla Lake's music in a unique prototype currently lost to hoarders, not any of the variants in the builds found in this leak.

You obviously just googled "as65c" and assumed the first result was correct.
That assembler does not support 65C816 you nigger.
RICOH SFX ASSEMBLER VER. V2.11
Good luck finding it.
Somebody will need to write a translator or custom assembler.

>> No.6662880

>>6661975
Yeah.
I want to find these secret prototypes that TCRF says exist, so I can see if that specific music is in one of them.
The builds crashing is irrelevant. I'll look for the raw sound data in the rom if need be.

I've been trying to get it to assemble on some other assembler using a python script that mostly consists of regex, but some weird semantics (like loading a huge integer as a way to enable the carry register) just don't roll with ca65 and other assemblers are even further away from whatever this "as65c" was

Their process was more streamlined, instead of constantly updating the rom, they just inserted finished assets all at once. The prototype with all the proto designs added a lot of placeholders until they were eventually replaced with final designs.
