Sonic humans should have rubberhose proportions like Eggman, yet in Adventure to Ow the Edge to 06 the other humans never had a reliable style that let them fit with both Sonic and Eggman. And now circa the movie they seemed to have settled for "furries on wacky cartoon world while humans are on Earth/Not Earth."

Here's some Sonic characters compared with Billy Hatcher's crew to show what I mean. They unlike Maria or Elise or Edge's Commander actually look like they're the same species as Eggman and from the same series as Sonic.
