There are plenty of DIY plans for bartop to full size available for download. If you can't manage to use google how are you going to manage to use a saw. Which brings us to the first question. What tools do you have available and the skills to use? You don't have many options if you're limited to safety scissors.

I'm in the same boat, I have some computer scrap (mATX C2Q, PC speakers, a 22" LCD without it's housing) also some wood and paint leftover. I tried the hardware with lakka on a usb stick and my madcatz te, looks good. Now I'm debating over what sticks to use for a 2 players cab. Should I get a chinkshit arcade kit and call it a day or spend 2-3x the money on better parts? I already have Sanwa so I might as well try 'murican sticks.
