This guy is a bitch to fight as Zero, until you figure out his pattern in a few minutes. I'd say, other that Sigma, the hardest boss is always a tie between Dragoon and Stingray.

Every other boss you can just use their weakness on, repeatedly. I don't remember Stingray or Dragoon having any weaknesses. Dragoon gets moving pretty fast, and Stingray is horrible if you don't get all those little red tadpoles or whatever they are.

It's easy as all hell to spam with X, Zero needs a bit more timing though.

Not sure about Dragoon. I'd agree that he would be the most "difficult" if I had to name one.

Stingray's weakness for Zero is the ice attack (can't remember the name). It's hard to pull off in battle but he's fairly easy anyways.

Everyone had some speech problem in X4 for some reason. Listen to Zero for instance, ISTHATYOURDECISION...PREPAREUSELF or something.

Also re: Stingray. The hard part about him is his stage. Fuck Land Chaser sequences in X4/X5 seriously.

Fun fact: In the japanese version of X4, the 8 mavericks all have pre-battle one-liners. Like Colonel, Sigma, and General in the dubbed version!

Actually, I always found Stingray to be the most cake of the bosses with Frost walrus's weapon.

Once the battle starts you YEAYEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEYEAHYEAHYEAH to the top of the stage and keep doing it. Once he starts descending to you side from the top of the screen you can use the attack before he even reaches his normal attack height. He'll use that upward charge attack, but since he's already above you, it won't hit. Repeat until dead because he will always try to descend on the same side.
