Blood has some of the most fun 90s FPS weapons, and you know it.

Duke Nukem 3D is great and the very definition of 90s soul.
Blood is great and has heart and character, but lacking that extra oomph of soul.
DOOM is great but sterile. Made with passion, but it misses the soul.

Doom is the original. It broke new ground and it codified what it perhaps didnt invent. However, like you mention with your dio examples, it needed to shed skin to stay good (modding scene)

Also, rainbow dio is great, but I personally think the JLT albums were best. Liked the poppy aor rock sound. Dios version of mistreated is great though.

It really is great. Not only is the level design top tier, but the whole cheerful tropical vacation theme is carried so well, it feels almost as refreshing as a real vacation when I play it. Gives me a great pep during a cold winter.

It's a shame the expansion is in some sort of weird rights limbo, supposedly Scott Miller 'authorized' the Sunstorm expansions to be in Megaton Edition, forgetting that 3DRealms/Apogee never owned the full rights to it, hence its absence in Anniversary Edition, and Randy will probably never bother with negotiating that.
I didn't hate Duke It Out In D.C, buuut didn't really love it either. I didn't care at all for Smithsonian Terror, though my brother really likes it, the submarine level was great. The less said about Nuclear Winter, the better.
