Getting first worlders to stop fellating the cock of capitalism is pretty impossible. Look at how many people worship Jeff Bezos or Steve Jobs. But I guess you could start by telling people that the games they love were actually created by underpaid and overworked coders, artists, planners at game studios. The company that produced and distributed them didn't make them, rather most likely stifled their creative freedom and sat back and reaped the full profit of the games they created.

In a capitalist world there's nearly no alternative to being exploited. Yes, you could hypothetically join or create a worker's co-operative where the business is run by the workers and everyone gets an equal share, but they'll likely be put out of business by the companies that put their money towards growing the business instead of taking care of their employees. That's because in a capitalist system the #1 priority is to accumulate capital which is best done by growing a business...the workers' interests are irrelevant unless it has to do with attracting and retaining skilled workers.

In the same way in a feudal state the serfs had no choice but to serve their lord to get by, in capitalism a worker has no real choice but to wageslave for a company. Capitalism is less exploitative than feudalism, but there is of course something less exploitative than capitalism.

I work for myself as well, and I don't employ people, and in that sense I still function as a capitalist. It's not hard on an individual level, but society can't work that way in a capitalist system. If I created a business that requires lots of workers to function, I have no choice but to exploit workers or else I'd go out of business. I just wouldn't be able to compete because competitors would sooner slash prices on their product, for example, than ensure all their workers can get rich. The system as a whole is rigged against treating people fairly.

There's no need to flip a switch and cause change overnight. The shift can happen through incremental regulation. The first step is ensuring we can benefit from the world of plenty that we live in and guarantee everyone a universal basic income. In such a world, workers won't have to work for a company to put food on the table, and will instead choose to work to afford luxuries. It's not like feudalism became capitalism overnight, there was a shift to mercantilism first, the whole process took a few hundred years. Having said that, our society could absolutely support basic income right now.

>>6596520
You were the one talking about the system being tried and tested. Well, it failed. And it's far from the only argument. There are reasons it failed other than pure dumbness, such as the difficulties of working without the price system to signal supply and demand organically, the political problems of extreme political and economic centralization, the lack of innovation introduced by political central planning, the bureaucratic hell, and many others.

I was biting until you showed your true colors. No one deserves shit for free and a society without meritocracy can't and shouldn't exist. The amount of undesirable people alive right now vastly overwhelms the number of people that are useful and contribute to the whole. Groups, tribes, whole nations that shouldn't exist.
Granted, I don't agree with the concept of one person being worth 1 billion dollars, but that's much more of a problem with said people than that of the economic system. With jews out of the picture, literally all aspects of contemporary human life would be different. On a perfect world, the strong and wise would still make more than others, but they''d happily invest a large sum back into the economy, strengthening it without taking a loss on the long term. That sort of scenario would never happen if faggots like you had their way.

And what are you motivated by to defend capitalism like this? Why are you so certain that this is a fair and just system? If you aren't rich, why do you think that is? Do you just need to work harder?

You're not actually addressing any of my arguments and are instead repeatedly saying I'm guilty. My personal feelings and where I'm coming from as nothing to do with an argument that we live in an unfair system where it's far easier to become rich if you already have a bit of wealth compared to starting from nothing.

>> No.6596723

Your arguments? you're just asking me to speak to platitudes, you're like a telemarketer. You might as well be reading off of a script. Are you?

>> No.6596736

>>6596723
It wasn't platitudes, I was pretty specific. I had $20,000 and turned it into $200,000 by investing and all it took was sitting on my ass and waiting. Did I have more of an advantage in life than someone who only had $200? Was it easier for me to accumulate wealth by starting with more? Is it right that people have to work 8 hour days to put food on the table while I could just sit and wait and make more than they might in a decade?

Nobody cares. I can guarantee you that 99% of Apple users are aware that the products they use have been made by some literal third world working a slight step above a slave yet they will still purchase it.

Retro video games

It's not fair that some people get to buy so many more retro video games than other people just because they had a more privileged luckier start. Everyone should have a universal basic income so they can afford at least a few vintage retro games of their choosing, a universal basic retro game collection.

A profitable fad.
Also DS existed and it wasn't a fad, just an unussual continuation if the GB line.
