...or am l the oldest guy here?

This old gem was a game that was created as a demo for the visual basic programming language. I remember playing this on Windows 95 back in like 1993.

Not at all, saw it on Projared's video about Scorched Earth.
Looks fun.

Amazingly, I actually do remember this, but I never could figure out the name for decades. I only saw it once in a computer lab.

I used to play it a long time ago. It's fun if you have another person to play with. My brother and I used to play it all the time.

The actual name was Gorilla.BAS, but it's known as QBasic Gorillas because it was written in Qbasic.

It's fun. I get nostalgia from playing old games.

I have seen this but didn't encounter it back then. I did however use QBasic as a kid. I don't remember what programs I wrote. There weren't very many of them and they probably didn't do anything very interesting.

Later I moved to Borland Turbo C++ (for DOS) and made a few gamelets.

Scorched Earth was fun, anyway.

I'm probably the oldest one here. I do remember Gorilla and Snake in Qbasic but I don't think I tried out the visual basic demo. Back in those DOS days, it is nice those samples were included with MS-DOS, but I preferred playing games like Scorched Earth which had more options and was more visually appealing.

Perhaps OP is referring to Microsoft Chicago. Which was the codename for 95 while it was still in development in '93. Maybe that's why it was visual basic rather than the qbasic I am familiar with.

My dad and I used to play this all the time, and i used to think it was hilarious to set the throw velocity to the highest speed and watch the bananas comically fly out in an instant.

good times
