Not into sports, but Mutant League is alright. Scoring a goal is satisfying, but there's something I hate about some top-down team games. It takes way too long for the game to relinquish control over a player when he is out of the screen. Or am I retarded, and there's a button that switches between them?

Blades of steel. I havent seen other hockey games with a seperate mode for fighting your opponnent. thats the essence of hockey right there.

I know people hate Double Dribble 2 for Genesis but I had lots of fun with it. I liked how it was very easy to steal. The shooting was the worst part of the game, the animation was so awkward.

California games on sms, lynx and computers. It feels a lot like you are actually doing the sport where with nfl and nba games its more like its similating watching it on tv. It was also great for multiplayer.

I'm also playing leaderboard golf on sms, one of the few games to use something like polygons on an 8 bit system.
