I prefer his SF2 incarnation. I think he's more effective of a villain if he's collected and a bit suave rather than the maniacally insane direction they decided to go with him.

SF2 anime movie is when he was first shown as a psycho. Alpha borrows heavily from that film which really sets the tone for the designs and characterizations moving forwrad.
