this game is awesome and it is a damn shame that games aren't made that are similar

I could totally see something like a skateboarding game as being a really cool 3d platformer collect-a-thon

I didnt have a problem with DK, but Jetpack was brutal, one if the last things I did to get 101%.

Jatpac is ridiculously easy if you just stay on the first level and shoot meteors.

I want to see another racer like that, like Diddy Kong Racing

hey I think you discovered the secret to the whole concept, dkr was a fantastic game and I have wanted a sequel for a long time
I could totally see evolving past a kart racer, like maybe it is all little planes or hoverboards

I beat them as a kid and making progress but just frustrating. You're right though.

>>6549552
Jetpack I actually didn't understand you had to assemble the ship, was way easier once I figured that out.

>>6549760
yeah, but it sucks if you're "good" at DK64 then have a shoehorned in arcade game blocking the last boss.

Yeah I really want a sequel or another game in that style. If you want an extreme sports game with platform elements, try Jet Set Radio

I've heard Yooka Laylee is a lot like DK64 (tough usually in a derogatory way from people who wanted it to be more like Banjo Kazooie).

Yea I played it back in 2017, and it was really fun. There are only 5 worlds that can be expanded once, I was left just wanting more. I swear there is room for more of it, there's ways to expand the concept of collecting stuff. I played Spider-Man ps4 in 2019 and it had a lot of stuff that was a tad generic, finding backpacks and catching pidgeons, but the movement stands out to me.

Every time I try to play DK64 I can't make it past the 10 hour intro before losing interest, guess my age. Older than >>6549309

that's a good idea, watching tony hawk pro skater shows me there is a lot of 3d platforming dNa in it

YL is better than the detractors would have you believe. BUT know that both DK64 and Banjo were highly refined masterworks from Rare at the peak of their abilities. YL is... not. It feels unfinished and rushed despite being years late.

I love the worlds and the sheer quantity of stuff to collect. This is a great game.

>>6549456
Only real ones get 101%, congratulations. For me I struggled with the races the most, and that one water level.

Agreed, I think the game isn't garbage, but
i'm a huge collectathon fan and couldn't get through it. I think calling it DK64 is a huge overstatement.
