Nope you typically do all four characters as whatever your wind crystal job is. It is worth noting Garula is not actually that hard if you know the game well enough to be doing a challenge run of it. 4 Warriors can guard and beat through him. It's nigh impossible to do a full wipe on a team of 4 white mages, 4 monks this early in the game with counter will destroy him, 4 Blue mages are blue mages so can actually beat the entire game, 4 Black mages can break the frost rod you get in Karnak and destroy him in three turns, and 4 theifs can steel mythral daggers on the enemy in the tower for a damage boost that should make him beatable with potions.

Just about to enter world 2 my jobs are Black Mage, Berserker, Geomancer, Dancer. Not the best combo in the world but also not the worst. So far I have given most everybody the ability to use Gaia because why not give my magic damage heavy team an ability that uses 0 MP.

Unless you’re doing a natural run all 4 characters have to be the first job, but honestly even if you get one of the physical jobs it’s not too hard

The only class that actually struggles with Garula are thieves because you have to play smart
>Knight: give everyone twohanded and you'll kill him in two attack cycles
>White Mage: your healing can easily outpace his damage
>Black mage: ice rod lmao
>Blue mage: ice rod lmao (or pond's chorus/Frog Song)
>Monk: literally just wail on the fucker and he'll die in seconds
>Thieves: get 4 mythril knives from Wyverns, two thieves in front two in back, heal as necessary, a lot of garula's damage comes from it countering your own hits

Looks solid to me. Summoner is pretty strong and versatile, Ranger has multistrike and the combination of both Thief and Samurai will allow you to do some Zeninage shenanigans. Sucks that your Samurai won't be able to dual wield nor dual grip katanas though.
