I unironically really enjoy watching this movie. I was actually explaining it to some of my buddies at work last night, and they couldn't stop laughing. Good times.

Sadly no, but yes Yoshi would have been amazing, I imagine it like the JP toys.
It did have this total radicool police car though.

Got the Mario one in my desk right now. The goomba is in my car, still in the box. I’m scared to remove him.

NMS was the dirt level magazine read only by those who did not have the wit to read Super Play.
It was a rucking red flag to see any publication actually made in Australia. Hyper was better than NMS but only because it was less full of shit and because it avoided publishing anything written by Amos Wong, at least as far as I saw.

I had that Luigi figurine, didn't have come with the wrench attachment unfortunately,
but I remember playing with it all the time when I was just a child.
Didn't see the movie until the early 2000s. Our mom dropped us off at our dads and it happen to come on tv one day and watched it beginning to end and loved every bit of it. I don't give a shit if it's considered a shitty movie, it holds a dear place in my heart.

I played with the Mario figure a lot too, he was always in my multi-toy epic battles as a kid.
Also don't feel bad, the movie has a bad reputation because the production was a mess, and at the time it came out, a lot of people were weirded out because of how different it was to the games (but it wasn't hated). In recent years though, the movie is gathering a lot of love and for good reason, despite all the production problems it might have had, the cast is still great, the setting is amazing, and the references to the video games are actually more than one would have initially thought, they're just more subtle. I watched the movie again recently and also enjoyed it to beginning to end, I already liked it as a kid, but I gotta say I'm enjoying it even more now as an adult.
