So, what is the reason there are little animals inside the robots?

>> No.6499117

>>6499050
They either power the robot like a Matrix battery or act as an armor and control the animal's thoughts.

>> No.6499269

>>6499040
Reminder that it is possible to attack an Asteron and make an animal come out of it, but when it explodes on its own, no animal appears.

Eggman don't mess around.

I don't know who exactly designed those pokemon, but Ken Sugimori is a confessed Sega fanboy.

Robotnik uses their brains as computers to control the robots, and their body for electricity.
its kinda like the Matrix.

there's a part in the beginning of act 2 or 3 where I feel you practically have to take a hit from one of the crab fuckers

Better to be dead than to be another one of Robotnik's lifeless robotic soldiers I guess.

Not Zangief. This game also predates his appearance by several years.

The crab one is really the only one that is a "generic crab"

The other two are pretty specifically detailed. Mantis with scythes for hands instead of pincers, metallic looking/bejeweled starfish that in no way resembles the actual creature.

>> No.6501518

>>6501125
There's only so much you can do with a mantis, blades for arms is pretty much it.
But I agree the starfish is really on the nose.

They look nothing alike

This is like saying Cloud from FF7 looks like the protagonist from Dragon Quest because they're both human

>> No.6503337

>>6501518
Mantids do not have blades for arms, it's a pretty artistic choice.

It'd be like making a lion with knives for teeth, it may seem obvious, doesn't mean it's some sort of cliche
