It's a good MS game for sure. I only started playing Master System games after getting a Genesis Everdrive. I never had the system growing up, but I loved my Genesis, so I saw it as an added bonus. My favorite MS games I've played so far are Bubble Bobble (it's way better than the NES version), Ms. Pac-Man (same), Lucky Dime Caper, Power Strike 1 & 2 and the Sonic games.

for Sonic 1 in particular, you're better off with the Game Gear version. Despite Master System having a better resolution, Sonic 1 wasn't accommodated for it. Sonic 2, however, yes, play on Master System.

Miracle World is a pretty mediocre game, but I did like the castle levels, and some of the other stages are decent as well. Shinobi World is miles ahead of it, though, as well as miles ahead of any other Alex Kidd game. Funnily enough, it wasn't supposed to be an Alex Kidd game but in the end the game got revamped so it became an Alex Kidd game. I wish the guy would make a comeback. With all the Sonic ports to various platforms I see Alex Kidd as the true Sega mascot nowadays.

I've played Wizard of Wor, NiGHTS, New Zealand Story, Rocket Knight, Columns and Outrun. I've played Ninja Gaiden as well, but on the NES.

Zillion is only superficially similar to Metroid in that you shoot and explore an environment. Zillion is much more similar to Impossible Mission, and mostly lacks the modular equipment-based exploration elements of metroid.
