I have a list of about 30ish games per major console that I made by combining other lists I found online, and weeding out ones I didn't like or were redundant. I made it because I couldn't find anyone else who had done so.

There was a wiki, /v/'s recommended games. And everytime someone links it, the requestor whines "but it has games on the list I don't like, can't I get some ACTUAL recommendations?!" So you can make a list, but there is no promise anyone will use it, or the people asking for recommendations will accept it.

I made a list of links to romsets on the internet archive on the depot's #rom-requests channel. Still have an endless flood of people asking for roms that are in these sets, since most people asking for shit are too lazy to do a basic google search, much less read 1-2 sentences that have the answer they seek. Doesn't matter what you do, lazy fucks gonna lazy fuck. Why bother looking when you can just "RECOMMEND ME GAMES /VR/!" and get answers?

It might work if people ate bans for making request threads outside of /wsr/, but that doesn't happen. It might work if people ate bans for spoonfeeding when there's already resources in the sticky, but that doesn't happen. It's not a bad idea, it's just not going to work the way you hope it will.

It's a side-scroller. Unique in music, art, and gameplay mechanics.
