I really loved games with that old 80s/90s anime aesthetic. It doesn't even matter what genre I just totally love the look of them. RPGS, SHMUPS, platformers, those weird text based games I can't really read but like to look at.

After taking a closer look, yeah, it's the limitations. Notice how there's some green color on both character sprites. Both re-use the same tiles to some extent so recoloring Iris' hair to blue would make those green bits blue too. But what's the deal with ponytail then? Based as fuck. The gamplay is a bit approximative, almost like a typical pc-88 release, but the great art style and music make for it. Plus the music is a good example on how to make great atmospheric stuff with the genesis chip. A very lovable game despite its flaws. It should be in the dictionnary at the "SOUL" article.
