What do you guys thinks about collab parks without spots?
Have any landscape you want to share/start a new game in?

-/v/+/vg/+/vr/ scenarios, rides and save files-
I'm browsing archived RCT threads for scenarios, rides and save files made by fellow anons.
Like I said in an old thread, I'll put them all in their respective RARs. So, if you have any you want to share,
now would be a good time do to so. So far I've only got a few.

Well, you can't force people to play a certain way. That's pretty much inherent in any (good) game. But give them option. Want to cram everything into a tiny space? Go ahead. Want to spend money to give yourself more room? Go ahead.

You can also try to motivate them to buy land by using terrain. Maybe your starting area is really hilly, but there's a flatter section you can buy. Or you're not allowed to remove trees, but there's some land with very sparse trees you can buy. Or your starting area is mostly a lake, but there's some dry land you can buy.

Guest Generation higher difficulty levelEdit

It's hard to judge what this handycap does in detail. It seems that the guest limit is lower and enforced harder. The guest limit is an artifical number and determines by the amount of rides you have. Usually, you can attract about 50 guests with a flat ride and about 75 guests with a roller coaster, but this also depends on your park rating.

This setting can cause a park to stall for no obvious reason, this happens usually when the first batch of guests are broke and can't afford your rides and shops anymore. Not even a completely free park can keep broke guests happy and inside your park. This calls for a radical measure: close your rides and the park gates and wait until most of your guests are gone. This reset will attract new guests with full purses, who can enjoy your rides.

>> No.637425

>>636938
So it makes guests harder to keep happy, as well as makes it hard to attract as many? Amd I reading this right?

>> No.637442

>>637425

I think the idea is that the same number of rides will attract less guests. It sounds like the second paragraph, about guests being broke and unhappy but not leaving the park, is more of a bug ("can cause" implies it shouldn't happen).

I don't think it affects your park rating or guest happiness, just how many enter your park.

So this ride was one of the ones that started out in the park. It has no block brakes and barrels into the station at over 45mph I think. Any ideas on how to make this ride a bit safer without drastically altering it or tearing it down? Alright. Looking back on the thread it doesn't seem like you're the only perpetrator of the terrible pathing in this park, so don't worry.
The red circles are places where the guests are going to get lost really easily. Of these three, the one on the bottom is the worst offender, as it was a one-way path going towards the entrance but not actually giving any way out of it. The other two paths circled aren't as big an issues, but they're just going to cause pathing troubles later on, especially since there's stuff on both of them. The red line is fine technically, but given that there's nothing on it and now way to actually put anything on it there's really no reason to keep it around.

Both of the orange circles are this guy's [ >>643196 ]
fault; the carousel's queue is too long, and the 3D Cinema, being priced at $4 for some reason, wasn't getting any guests.

The yellow line isn't an issue in and of itself; it's just that any big stretches of path that really don't have much of anything going on are going to cause guests to get bored, which is really something you want to avoid doing.

The placement of the rides in the park is also really detrimental to much further expansion, I feel - but that's another issue altogether, really.

That was what I tried. I remade the scenario with a different objective so the stations could be modified. After modifying the stations I turned money off, saved it, then converted it to "build 5 coasters". After that, I started a scenario, enabled money, then resaved the scenario so money was being used. You ever set one to "backwards rotation" and notice after a few spins it just quits working?

So I've noted to cut splash boats out of it (since I see 5 of them). There needs to be a way to limit the number of times a certain type of ride is built.

Is there way to forbid the removal of things like the pyramids and stuff, but still allow tree removal, or does that all fall under the same category?

Last time I went on an RCT fix, I tried beating Ghost Town by packing my coasters as tightly as possible. This is as far as I got.

anyone want to join a skype conference chat to talk about the shitty no boarders scenario?

Invite me I guess, I'd like to see how the other park is doing.

This would be a nightmare to try and build and maintain in real life. It'd also be intimidating as fuck for customers.

How much can I get away with charging for a 11 excitement coaster?

>> No.692482

>>692478
11$ for continuous use. (not tearing it down when it degrades.

>> No.692502

>>692478

You can probably charge 20. But if people aren't going in, drop it by a dollar at a time until they do go on.

Though, yes, that does require monitoring so that when the value drops you lower the price accordingly.

>RCT2 sign limit
>Signs are not only consumed in the game by normal use along paths, or by placing a ride with a sign already as part of its architecture, but just scrolling thru the Ride Menu's list of coasters (with signs as part of their scenery) will also eat away at your sign limit. These are permanent losses.

what the fuck Chris?

well, that's a little bug, I'm assuming it's map dependent.

not game breaking but...good to know.

I probably could have done this in half the time if I had a cash machine.
